AVS 2009: enabling investment fund portfolio accounting and valuation in financial sector

Our company, Bonair S.A., specialises in the development of systems supporting problem-solving in the financial institutions sector. Our experiences show that the fast and reliable valuation of investment portfolios and effective asset management are the key business tasks for investment funds, pension funds, and banks acting as depositaries.  Due to the volume of data processed, time regimes and financial liability, the performance of the key tasks requires the support of specialised IT solutions. 2. reduce the time needed for agreeing on and publishing the IF share price – owing to the automation of the daily process for valuating investment portfolio assets,
3. maintain access to information on the current status for meeting investment limits – owing to reports presenting the current portfolio structure and the value of investment limits.
 

This solution provides clients with complex support in the area of accounting automation, valuation of the fund’s assets, calculation of share value (accounting unit, investment certificate), in accordance with the binding legal provisions and the institutions regulating the operation of funds. The system supports, among others, the following financial instruments: shares, bonds, treasury bills, deposit certificates, investment certificates, shares in funds, commercial papers, mortgage debentures, rights to shares, subscription rights, shares, options, forward and futures contracts, FRAs, warrants, foreign currencies, etc.
 

Owing to this, clients have all the necessary data in one system, which facilitates access to information, and reduces the time needed for the valuation and submission of data to the recipient. 
AVS has provided accounting departments with 20 percent of extra time, which had thus far been additionally spent on valuation.
 

Contrary to other solutions, our solution, as an add-on module to Microsoft Dynamics AX, naturally integrates with other Microsoft products.
